Our Ministry

Gather | Love | Lead

The center of our worship and devotion - the holy mass - gathers us as a community to hear, sing, pray and take the word of God with us into our daily lives. It is also one of our biggest opportunities to serve one another. Whether it's proclaiming sacred scripture as a Lector, helping to assist our Celebrant as an Altar Server, distributing communion as an Eucharistic Minister, welcoming God's people to our parish home and assisting visitors in joining our community with extrordinary hospitality as a Greeter or Usher, there are many ways to serve here at St. Ambrose.

Come "Sing a new church" into being, here at St. Ambrose, through our music ministry. Our mission is the enhance our parish liturgies, services and community events through musical prayer, as well as connect with other music ministers in the Los Angeles area.

GLO-WeHo (LGBT Ministry)

All are welcome here at St. Ambrose! Our ministry strives to recognize and welcome our LGBT Catholic brothers and sisters and give them a place to be accepted and supported through their journey of faith. Our monthly social is held every last Sunday of the month - hope to see you there!

There are plenty of opportunities for us to celebrate our traditional devotions, here at St. Ambrose. Unite as a community by praying the devotion of the Rosary, every Wednesday after our 6 pm Daily Mass. Join us on Thursday evenings at 7 pm as we pray the mass and remember the patron saint of desperate causes, St. Jude. Pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy (with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament) every first Friday of the month at 6:45 pm. During the season of Lent, journey the paschal way together in remembrace of the passion of Jesus Christ through the Stations of the Cross at 6:45 pm in the church (light lenten meal afterwards)

On Wedneday nights, at 7 pm in the Rectory, we read and reflect upon the upcoming Sunday’s scripture readings and share how ancient text relates to our lives today over a light meal.

Come be of service to the homeless and displaced in Los Angeles County by assisting in building low-income housing. Habitat for Humanity is a nation-wide organization that works to repair and rebuild communities through creating affordable housing. Meetings generally take place in Culver City, once a month.
